I’m Sylvie (short for Sylvia Maloney-Noyes)! I’m in my third year at the University of Cincinnati, majoring in Fashion Design and minoring in History. What drives my creativity?
Background: Half Appalachian, half British; two worlds that collide to shape how I see culture, style, and storytelling.
Music: With 100,000+ Spotify minutes and 200+ genres, my playlists are as eclectic as my design ideas.
People: I find beauty in the “ordinary” because the most unforgettable stories usually belong to the people we overlook.
Teaching: Whether as a Montessori aide or a sewing instructor, I’ve spent 4 years teaching and learning in equal measure.
History: Fashion history, world history, tiny details, big patterns; I love connecting past and present to imagine what’s next.
For me, design is never just about clothes; it’s about weaving stories, voices, and histories into something bold and new.
